Pie Calendar Pro 1.4.0 is now available, and introduces the new Global Blackout Dates & Rules setting under Settings > Pie Calendar in the WordPress admin panel.
Blackout dates and rules allow you to specify individual dates or recurrence-style rules that prevent events from showing on matching dates in your calendars.
For example, if you normally have open office hours and you’re going on vacation, you can blackout every day next week and all events will be hidden on those dates.
You can also set yearly blackout rules for holidays that occur on the same day each year, special breaks, or anything else you want to define as a blackout date or rule.
One really handy option is to set a weekly recurring rule that blacks out the weekends, ensuring no events (even those that span over the weekend) appear on the calendar for those days.

We hope you enjoy this release, and thanks for choosing Pie Calendar!
