If you’re already using something like Advanced Custom Fields or Meta Box with a Date Time field and you’d prefer to use that instead of Pie Calendar’s built in controls, you can do that.
This is great for cases where you already have a custom setup and want to easily add a front-end calendar to your WordPress site without the hassle of coding the calendar views yourself, accounting for daylight savings time, recurring events, etc.
When using a custom Date Time field as your events start and end time, all the other Pie Calendar controls still work such as recurring event rules, all-day event, etc.
